There are three types of banks in Sri Lanka available:

  • Registered Finance Company

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) is Sri Lanka’s monetary authority. It was founded in 1950 under the Monetary Act (MLA) No. 58 of 1949, and it is a semi-autonomous government-owned agency.
