The central bank of Lebanon is Banque du Liban. The bank was established in 1st August in 1963. Besides the central bank a new committee was established in 1967 and its name is The Banking Control Committee of Lebanon (BCCL). The BCCL is overseas and monitors the country’s financial organizations, foreign exchange, issuing currency, price stability and banks in Lebanon. It is completely an independent and autonomous body that controls Lebanon’s banking department.

The company is headquartered in Beirut and controls a network of 77 branches in Lebanon. Byblos Bank Byblos Bank was established in 1963 in Jbeil, Lebanon. The bank and its subsidiaries and affiliated banks provide a full range of banking and insurance services to local and foreign customers. The company is headquartered in Beirut and manages multiple branches in Lebanon and nine other locations in foreign countries.
