The central bank of Lebanon is Banque du Liban. The bank was established in 1st August in 1963. Besides the central bank a new committee was established in 1967 and its name is The Banking Control Committee of Lebanon (BCCL). The BCCL is overseas and monitors the country’s financial organizations, foreign exchange, issuing currency, price stability and banks in Lebanon. It is completely an independent and autonomous body that controls Lebanon’s banking department.

Byblos Bank Byblos Bank was established in 1963 in Jbeil, Lebanon.
